Been awhile. Reporting to everyone on a happy note starting to go back in the city for those commercial contracts. I love the action!!! Ann Taylor, the Gap, and some private commercial spaces. I'm happy to see this, maybe all those spaces sitting open in the city are starting to fill up and leases are being signed. Still waiting on Enterprise Car Rental in Fort Lee. To all you in Fort Lee, Godwin should be in your town in July installing for Enterprise.A very nice spot for them right before the bridge. Mariner Bank is coming with two new branches in the Northwest Bergen County Area that Godwin flooring will be installing.So like I started saying happy to be back in Manhattan and the rest of the boroughs of NYC. It's where Godwin Flooring belongs, installing in the center of the universe, NYC. With this and other projects looming we are doing well in the year so far. GODWIN FLOORING outta here.

Good Friday

TGIF woke up and made a nice sale today with a residential customer. Ill make this follow up short and sweet. Just goes to show what a new day can bring! Starting to see the home owner spend money with 2 residential sales this week.I will hold my cynical tounge for now and keep the positive economic vibe going.Easter and passover bring hope to people.I pray this continues.God Bless America.Godwin Flooring outta here!

Captain of the Seas

Time to catch everyone up on what's been good with Godwin Flooring , being optimistic is important in life. I have been concentrating more on my commercial clients. At the same time trying not to neglect the residential customer, with saying that the residential customer is under such stress it is almost a waste of time putting projects together for them. Putting it bluntly , mr. and mrs. American consumer are over extended. Have we seen the fall of the mighty American consumer? I believe we have and there is evidence in the decline of our generations past. We no longer think how our grandparents and great parents thought. How they saved and worked hard we all want our "money for nothing and our chicks for free" to quote Dire Straits [ Rock and Roll reference ].Let me stop ranting and get back to being an optimist. Commercial work is picking up well and i see great potential for growth with the company. We have received our end of the year reports from our accountants Mcgoff Collins & Delorenzo ,and we are doing very well for the third year in a row .Every year we increased profits and are looking to do the same this year. We are very thankful to our accountants for doing such a fine job guiding our company. They have been a lighthouse to our ship traveling on. A constant source of guidance. Thanks guys!! Home Depot SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE-NEWS FLASH

I will make this short and sweet ,because that is what it is.I received a phone call this morning from a prominent contractor in the area. Jay Dunn INC. which we were engaged on a flooring project together with a residential home owner.That is untill home depot's misleading ad campaign.SO anyway,he opens up the phone conversation with, ''Bill, you can't believe it.'' I say Jay relax what's up.What is it Jay!''He replies,the home depot installers are really causing me problems.There behavior is completely unprofessional.They are smoking in the customers home,very poor workmanship on the flat work and the stair labor. The stairs are ruined!They needs to be re-installed for sure,and above all they engaged in a heated conversation with the customer.''I told jay i knew this would happen as he agreed with me. A shame another home owner falling prey to the HOME DEPOT SCAM!!!!!I must say, I'm so happy they screwed the project up. Score 1 for the good guys.Anyway,next week I'm scheduled to go and try to repair the mess home depot made.GODWIN FLOORING TO THE RESCUE!!!I hope you guys get as much enjoyment out of this as i did.''True story'', as a friend of mine would say.So predictable!. INSTALLERS BEWARE!!!!!!Another job lost to home depot, and it's offensive advertisement claiming they can install for $139.00 no matter how many square yards .Give me a break!!!!Running this ad on the backs of the private installers is sub-human.They really have no class,especially when they have a working relationship with the flooring installers.UNBELIEVABLE!!!I can not comment on this anymore without going into a rant and rave.PLEASE! people do not fall for there propoganda.Its a TRAP!Support your local tradesman and keep the commerce in your community.I have personally filled a complaint with home depot and if your an installer so should you...Thanks all

President Obama

On a political note . I like how President Obama tells everyone in such a polite way to ---- OFF!![Rush L. & John M.] Finally a real Patriot in the White House. All this banter about the stimulus bill not working,well I am sure the 800 something billion $$$$$ will help somehow.By the way put back the 40 billion you incompetent fools took off the stimulus bill for education, calling it! "PORK".Shall I call you crying self-indulgent pigs! My god! you guys have no problem putting money in the budget for war to kill our mothers children, but you don't have the money to invest in educating them.We would'nt want the cannon fodder to be able to think now would we.Then they might realize they are sheep to the slaughter.You wanna know the truth gentlemen[ term used losely]There blood is on your hands.Wasting there lives the way you do ,like its just something that is!Well i say NO!!Shame on you all! It,s been awhile since my last post but i,ve been workin hard tryin to keep the biz. boat afloat. Rite now Godwin is engaged in a wood and carpet project for a decorator inthe area Robin Schultz interior design.the wood is mirage 5/16 engineered yellow birch wood and the carpet a frizzee softback. Job is going very well as expected .We are using Bostik best wood glue and if you are gluing hardwood to concrete i would use no other product but bostik best . Now that Hoboken Floors has been out of the game for a year now i've finally found a supplier to deal with .Capitol Wood Floors supplies I liked there routine.Anyway hope everyone is well a keep it afloat!!!
